Horror Movies are my comfort food
I have loved horror movies since I was old enough to watch a screen. My uncle opened a video rental store in the late 1980s and I was officially hooked. Everything from "A Nightmare on Elm Street" to "They Live" to "Psycho" house some of my earliest and fondest memories. I escaped the loneliness of my home life with Freddy, Jason and Michael. I related to ostracized creatures like werewolves and the lonely, solitary existence of vampires. I identified with the outsiders and outcasts. Imaginary horror eased the real horror that filled my life. Forty years later and horror is still my biggest comfort.
