Within nine pages I found myself surprised and hooked! The author brings known players back into focus and of course some new faces as well. As a reader of all three books so far this one reeled me in harder than expected! I tried to pace myself with this one knowing the author has not published the next book. I could not! I would randomly just sit and think “Wonder what happens next?” And had to find out!
The author sets the scene for the 80s in a way you can almost smell the Aqua net hairspray and see a swarm of perms and interesting fashion choices. Throughout the book there are small reminders of the scene so you never lose sight of it while the story unfolds in your mind. Anyone who lived through the 80s or enjoys the era will be delighted in the details.
The action in this book is phenomenal and you never know what is coming next! As a reader who enjoys surprises, this entire saga so far will never cease from my memory. As the story progresses you see a glimpse of possibility to some modern day issues. The power that some people have had in their roles in our world seems otherworldly at times. Who is to say, unbeknownst to us outsiders there isn’t some power there we do not see or understand. It’s a likelihood any horror genre fan can appreciate.
There is a very different twist on the blood drinkers and moon wolves in this book. Not one I intend to spoil for you now. I highly suggest you read and find out exactly what I mean. And if you find it odd or just too far fetched due to your personal beliefs, open your mind and continue with the story. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed how it all comes together.
The ending of this book has my mind racing! I very much look forward to the fourth book of this saga! I have to know what happens with this interesting group of characters. I highly suggest you join me on this journey!
