Pleasant Screams

I was drawn into worlds that led me to believe I was safe in my fluffy cloud pj's while reading this book; I was not safe. No one is safe. I immediately became paranoid at every sound in my house after the sun went down. I'll probably need therapy.

This is the second book of short stories I have read by this author. I’ve said these words before and they are still very true, he does not disappoint! Story after story that pulls you in and doesn’t want to let you go! All kinds of surprises awaits in each story! Each one will make your mind race and wonder what is coming next.
You will find characters you want karma to make short order of. You will find characters that you heart pounds hoping for a good outcome for. You find character that their fate makes you wonder why couldn’t it be different for that one?
This author likes to take a genre full of the unknown, the unseen, a gory fantasy and throw in a dose of reality. It allows for his characters and their lives to feel as though somewhere on this planet, this could be happening. These characters could really have lived these fates.
I truly suggest taking the time to check this book out and other books by this author. The Blood Brothers Saga was such a journey into the lives of the brothers and those around them. Gory Stories left me surprised by an author for the first time in a very long while leading to me purchased five more books by this author and wondering what his creative brain will come up with next time.
